The Renovate to Innovate campaign will have three distinct projects. The plan is complete each over a three-year period to gain the maximum impact from your three-year pledge. The scope of work for each project is outlined below.
Project 1: Replace Windows
Estimated Cost: $100,000
Timeline: COMPLETE!!!
Project Description: COMPLETE!! We replaced ten windows on the west and north façade of the building.
Key Results Gained from Investment:
- Repair the building’s deteriorating west and north facades.
- Create a cohesive appearance for the building and restore its architectural integrity.
- New windows will make the building energy efficient.
Project 2: Repair floor and upgrade electrical service
Estimated Cost: $85,000
Timeline: November 2023
Project Description: Repair and level the floors. Update the electrical system and add lighting to the area. Rebuild and expand Our Front Porch
Key Results Gained from Investment:
- Create space to expand our programs and exhibits.
- Have needed electrical service for the east building
- An enlarged Our Front Porch for programs and exhibits
- Fixing the floor creates a safer environment for visitors and volunteers.
Project 3: HVAC
Estimated Cost: $100,000
Timeline: January 2025
Project Description: Install heating and cooling systems on the east side of the building. and open the wall between the two buildings
Key Results Gained from Investment:
- Make all parts of the building functional for guests.
- Create a rental venue.
- Improve conditions for preserving the collection.
- Integrate the two sides of the building into one, creating a better visitor experience.
