Poetry on Our Front Porch

Join us for a poetry reading on Sunday, May 7th at the Western Illinois Museum from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Pie will be served at 1:30 pm.
Poetry read out loud, shared with others and discussed are the makings of a perfect Sunday afternoon. We’ll invite a few community members to share a poem or two to get the reading started. Guests are encouraged to discuss these poems or read a selection of their choice. For this reading, we explore the power of poetry to address the seemingly constant changes we face in our fast-paced, everyday lives.
