Tour Through Time with your Corn Husk Doll

October 16, 2022 @ 10:00 am - October 17, 2022 @ 12:00 pm

Join us in celebrating the harvest season. Stop by on Saturday, October 15th during the Moon Over Macomb festivities and make a Corn Husk Doll from 10:00 am to noon.

How to Participate
There are two ways to participate:

  • Stop by the museum and we’ll walk you through how to turn corn husks into a doll.
  • Pick up the materials and follow the instructions at home.

Where: The museum is located at 201 South Lafayette Street, just one block south of Macomb’s Courthouse Square.

After you have created a doll, you can visit with the Museum’s re-enactors who will guide you on a trip through time. Stops on the tour include making apple butter in the 1870s to listening to the new sounds of 1970s rock and roll on the radio. At each station, you can collect an accessory for your corn husk doll.

The event is free and open to the public.
