Sunday Crafternoon
July 21, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us for a casual afternoon of crafting in community on the third Sunday of the Month! Drop in anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 pm
Crafternoon has always been about creating a welcoming, non-competitive, and non-judgmental space where people of all ages and backgrounds can connect and feel a sense of belonging. Participants can choose to engage in conversations with others or find a quiet spot to work on their projects.
Crafternoon is an opportunity for makers of all ages and skill levels to create in the company of others. Bring a craft project from home, or start something new using supplies from our community craft box.
Please bring only craft projects that are non-toxic and friend-friendly. Suggested crafts include:
* drawing (pastels, pencil, charcoal)
* writing (letter-writing, fiction, nonfiction, calligraphy)
* needlework (crochet, knitting, embroidery)
* fiber arts (basketry, weaving, spinning, sewing, quilting, felting)
* papercraft (collage, decoupage, papercutting, origami)
* painting (watercolor, acrylics, gouache (Please no oil paints or chemical solvents!)
Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be available. Donations are accepted at the door.
This program series is a project of No Place Like Macomb, presented in collaboration with the Western Illinois Museum.
