Stefan Prigmore Returns to Our Front Porch
May 31 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Western Illinois Museum is pleased to announce the return of songwriter Stefan Prigmore to perform on Our Front Porch on Friday, May 31st from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The Texas-based singer’s rustic and approachable blend of Americana, folk, and roots is a favorite of audiences. His stark and sincere lyrics paired with his dynamic and distinctive voice are a must-hear! Doors and bar open at 6:30 pm with two sets of music starting at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. There is a suggested $5 donation at the door.
Stephan Prigmore was born and raised near Fort Worth, Texas, and has been writing and performing for 30 years across the United States and Europe. He has released two full-length albums to admiring reviews, “Stefan Prigmore sounds like Jon Dee Graham ate John Prine for lunch. The end result feels like hanging out in your favorite bar, drinking a cold brew, watching the darkened stage and hanging on to each syllable of the song for twists and turns you can’t imagine coming…because you can’t” (Sara Hickman) and “River/Blood is THE album you will remember for a lifetime” (Kelly’s Country). In 2021, Stefan launched his Patreon page, where he shares new and unreleased music, wild game recipes, and stories from the woods and water. He now resides in far east Texas with his wife, Becky, and their ridiculous squirrel dog, Leon Rausch.
This program is funded in part by grants from the Illinois Arts Council and the Illinois Humanities Council.
The Western Illinois Museum is a non-profit organization celebrating and nurturing the history, culture, and traditions of McDonough County.
