Sing-a-long
February 2, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
In celebration of World Ukulele Day, the Western Illinois Museum and Ukulele Macomb are pleased to hold the annual Community Sing-a-long on Tuesday, February 2 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. The event will be held at the Western Illinois Museum, located one block south of Macomb’s Courthouse Square. The event is free and open to the public.
For the last four years, Ukulele Macomb has celebrated World Ukulele Day with a community sing-a-long. This family friendly event will include an hour of playing well-known songs. Those who enjoy singing and listening, but do not play an instrument are welcome and encouraged to attend, and song sheets will be available. This event is the perfect cure for cabin fever; bring the entire family or a friend and join the fun.
Since 2009, Ukulele Macomb has been teaching all ages to play the ukulele with workshops and two weekly jam sessions. They provide entertainment to the community performing for events, organizations and area assisted living centers. Their enthusiasm for the ukulele has encouraged people of all ages to learn to play music and enjoy singing together. To learn more about Ukulele Macomb visit http://www.ukulelemacomb.com/.
