Haunted Museum Tours

The Western Illinois Museum will offer its annual Haunted Museum Tours on Saturday, October 19, 2019.  The all-ages tours begin at 9:00 am and will run continuously until noon. The event is part of the Moon Over Macomb activities and will be held at the Western Illinois Museum located at 201 South Lafayette Street, one block south of Macomb’s Courthouse Square.  The event is free and open to the public; donations appreciated.

Get in the Halloween spirit with a little haunted historic fun. The Western Illinois Museum will open its storage area for a behind-the-scenes tour of its collection area that was once a carriage shop, radiator repair service, and an automobile garage.  On this all-ages tour, guests have an opportunity to talk with re-enactors who tell the tale of the sometimes scary rise of the automobile! At the end of the brief tour, guests are invited to relax, hang-out and watch old-time cartoons with their favorite trick-or-treater. Popcorn and warm spiced cider will be served.
